Kate’s Retirement (click for more info)

It is with mixed emotions that East Suburban Citizen Advocacy announces the retirement of Kate Cala, our Executive Director on June 30th, 2021.  She has provided us with over 15 years of devoted service between her titles as volunteer, Coordinator, and Executive Director. Kate is always focused on bettering the community, including everyone, and praying for the best outcomes. She sees the best in people and has been able to change so many lives while at ESCA. We don’t know how we will get along without her!

Kate’s ability to care for all of those she meets, while keeping the broader picture of our mission in mind, has been invaluable. Her willingness to put in extra time and effort to help anyone in need has demonstrated a commitment to excellence that we have come to depend upon. In addition to her incredible competence and skill, she has been a friend to all with her thoughtfulness, prayers, and encouragement.

I invite you to join me in showing Kate our tremendous appreciation by sending a keepsake for Kate. We are encouraging cards, letters, pictures, poems, paintings, drawings, videos, etc. which ever way you feel you can express your thanks and farewells to Kate. We will collect these and put them together as a gift for Kate.
