Once again, The Boot Camp program will be hosted at Clelian Heights School for Exception Children on Tuesdays beginning this Fall. Coleen Bortz will be the instructor and the cost is $1 per participant. The program starts at 6:30 pm and lasts 1 hour.

The Parent Support Network is a coaching service offered by the Partnership for Drug Free Kids to parents and other caregivers who are struggling with a teen or young adult who is considering or using drugs and alcohol. It includes: * Seven ninety-minute group sessions with a parent coach who has personally experienced the challenges of teen substance use * A resource book entitled The 20 Minute Guide for Parents What does it cost? Sessions are free. You may make a voluntary offering of $20 to cover materials. How can these sessions help me? Your coach can: * Listen and provide support * Recommend ways to talk to your teen about substance use * Develop strategies to engage your teen in healthy behaviors * Help with effective alternatives to punishment and enabling * Assist in improving collaboration between parents/caregivers * Direct you to other useful resources Where and when will the sessions be held? 2017 TRI21-4DS, A Walk, Run or Bike Event Choose one of three activities to participate in: a 2-mile fun walk, a 5-mile run, or a 10-mile bike ride. Registration: $30 for adults, $15 for students. Volunteers, children under 10 and participants with a disability are FREE. Participants registering before May 3 will receive a race T-shirt, ra e ticket and lunch. Registration is at 6:45 PM; membership is $10. All members will receive a free T-shirt. Current members need not register and may simply show up for the run/walk, which is at 7:00 PM. ESCA Trailblazers is sponsored by East Suburban Citizen Advocacy, whose mission is to provide advocacy and build inclusive opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities.

The Murrysville Recreation, Penn-Trafford Area Recreation Commission and Monroeville Parks and Recreation Department would like to invite you to S.N.A.P. Special Needs at Play, June 21 at Murrysville Community Park Rotary Miracle Sports Complex. The event will run from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm for ages 6-21 and will provide a variety of fun activities such as face painting, a DJ, field games like baseball, volleyball and basketball, crafts, a nature walk, a playground,frisbee, spin art, and more! Participants only need to provide their own lunch but parents , aides or caregivers will need to remain at the event. LIght refreshments will be provided. Bring a favorite baseball glove, if desired.
